Kargil, Sept 02, 2023: An enlightening career counseling program was organized at Kendriya Vidyalaya Kargil, featuring distinguished speakers including Assistant Professor Shashi Ranjan from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Srinagar and Devang Raval, the Account Officer. The event aimed to provide valuable insights into various aspects of NIFT and its offerings.

 

The program commenced with AP Shashi Ranjan introducing the National Institute of Fashion Technology, known for its excellence in fashion education and design. He emphasized NIFT’s reputation as a premier institution in the field.

 

He threw light on the courses offered at NIFT Srinagar, including fashion design, textile design, and fashion communication, among others. He discussed the extensive career opportunities available for graduates from NIFT, highlighting the thriving fashion industry and the global demand for skilled professionals.

 

Participants were also informed about the state-of-the-art facilities available at NIFT Srinagar, ensuring students receive a world-class education. The admission procedure was elucidated, detailing the prerequisites and application process.

 

Shashi Ranjan and Devang Raval emphasized the special provisions made for students from Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir, underlining the institution’s commitment to fostering talent from the region. A remarkable 35% reservation has been allocated for students from these areas, providing them with enhanced access to quality education.

 

The speakers also unveiled scholarship schemes designed to support deserving candidates financially, making NIFT education accessible to a broader range of students. The international linkages established by NIFT were discussed, highlighting opportunities for global exposure and collaboration.

 

The program concluded with heartfelt thanks extended by D.R. Inikhya, PGT Hindi, acknowledging the valuable insights shared by the speakers.
