CEC Dr Jaffer chairs meeting regarding winter vacations for schools 

Kargil, 28-November-2023: A meeting with regard to declaration of winter vacation in Government and Private Schools of Kargil district was convened under the chairmanship of Chairman/ Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon in his office chamber today.

All Executive Councilor’s LAHDC, Kargil, Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Chief Education Officer, Kargil & Deputy Chief Education Officer, Sankoo attended the meeting.

After thorough discussion and keeping in view of the weather condition and the health issues of students into consideration, it has been unanimously decided that the winter vacation will be declared in Government/ Private Educational Institutions as per the date given below.

Upto 8th Class Winter Vacation shall commence from 4th December 2023 to Ending February, 2024

For Higher Classes excluding Class 10th & 12th Winter Vacation shall commence from 18th December 2023 to Ending February 2024.

The same has also been conveyed to the Principal Secretary School Education Department, Union Territory of Ladakh.
