EC Zakir Hussain chairs meeting to resolve electricity issues of Kargil town, Shargole

KARGIL,28- NOV-2023: Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil for power Zakir Hussain chaired a meeting with concerned officials regarding the ongoing issues related to electricity supply in Kargil town and Shargole constituency.

During the meeting, EC Zakir was briefed about the ongoing works and current status of commisioned works by the Electricity Department.

The EC directed the power curtailment in peak hours must be resolved further he also highlighted the electricity issues of various issues of Tacha Karith, Garpoung Apatee, Baroo-Minjee and Fokar Foo, which has came to his notice during the recent tour.

Zakir Hussain reiterated to ensure uninterrupted power supply to Kargil town and Shargole constituency.

He added that all assistance will be provided by LAHDC to take up these concerns with the Power Secretary of the Government of India.

Executive Engineer, Electricity Power Division, briefed about the scheme of Roof Top Solar Projects in the government offices & government institutions in detail.

The meeting was attended by Executive Engineer, Electrical Distribution, Div, Altaf Naqvi, Executive Engineer, Electricity Power Division, Feroz Ahmad, Councillor Baroo Minjee Constituency, Advocate Khadium Hussain, Councillor Shargole Constituency, Mohd Jawad, Highland, JE, City Section, Syed Murtaza, JE,Power Wing Kargil, Ahmad Raza, JE, Shargole- Pashkum, Stanzin Tsering.
