CEC Feroz Khan chairs meeting to review development works of Sankoo Constituency

KARGIL, NOVEMBER 03, 2021: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today chaired a meeting of the concerned district officers at Council Secretariat Kargil to review the development works at Sankoo sub division and stressed on officers to complete all ongoing works on war footing basis.

Executive Councilor for Works Aga Syed Abass Razvi, Former MLC and Councilor Sankoo Aga Syed Ahmad Razvi, ACD Kargil Ghulam Muhammad, ACR Kargil Abdul Gaffar Zargar, Executive Engineers of R&B-II, PDD, PHE and PMGSY Kacho Mehmood Ali Khan, Altaf Hussain, Subhash Chandar and Tsering Angchok, CEO Kargil Nazir Ahmad Wani, GM(P)NHIDCL Kargil Col A K  Shivkumar besides the district officers of various departments and PRI members attended the meeting.

During the course of the meeting, CEC Khan reviewed the developmental works of all departments in Sankoo Sub Division and instructed the district officers to execute the works in close coordination with the public representatives and PRI members.

During the meeting, the progress achieved in case of various works of the Irrigation and Flood Control Department were thoroughly discussed with the concerned officers. The CEC sought response of the officers about the development works of the department, and directed them to pace up the development works on priority basis for the larger interest of the general public.

The meeting also reviewed the work and progress of PHE Department and pending works on water supply schemes were also discussed during which CEC Khan directed the PHE department to speed up the work on water supply schemes on priority.

While reviewing the progress of works  under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), CEC Khan asked the PRI members to write to him in case they face any problem in any development work.

During the meeting, the work and progress of PDD was also discussed and the meeting was informed that the department is making concerted efforts to restore the electricity supply in all villages of Sankoo on priority basis for public convenience.

CEC also took review of the Education Department including the availability of teachers in the government schools of the sub division. He informed that during the coming 15 days, more teachers will be posted at Sankoo.

In the meeting, progress of the Forest Department, Sankoo Sub Division including distribution of forest timber to beneficiaries was also discussed. CEC directed the concerned officers to clear the bottlenecks in the issuance of timber to people.

Meanwhile, CEC Khan also reviewed the work and progress of National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) including snow clearance measures and other related measures in place for the ensuing winter.

Work and progress of Rural Development Department and Agriculture Department were also discussed in the meeting.
