CEC Feroz Khan takes stock of arrangements for 10th Muharram in Kargil

 

CEC along with DC Kargil visit AJUIAK, IKMT premises, Hussaini Park, Qatilgah

 

Kargil, July 28, 2023: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, today conducted a visit to Anjuman e Jamiat ul Ulema Isna Ashariya Kargil (AJUIAK)/Islamia School premises, Hussaini Park, Qatilgah, and other significant locations.

 

During the visit, they assessed the overall preparations made by the District Administration for the 10th Muharram (Ashura) processions set to take place across Kargil Town.

 

During the visit, SSP Kargil, Anayat Ali Choudhary, ADC Kargil, Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Wani, Additional SP Kargil, Iftikhar Ahmad Choudhary, SE PHE, I&FC, Maqbool Hussain, SE PWD, Abdul Mutalib, Chief Medical Officer Kargil, Munawar Hussain Wazir, along with officers of Health, PHE, PDD, MC, and other concerned officials, accompanied the CEC and DC on their inspection.

 

The CEC expressed satisfaction with the arrangements and issued instructions to ensure cleanliness in and around the AJUIAK premises, Hussaini Park, Qatilgah, and other significant locations. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of maintaining proper sanitation of the roads through which the processions will pass.

 

He also visited the medical camps set up at various locations and inspected the medical arrangements made for the processions.

 

Furthermore, the CEC urged the representatives of AJUIAK and IKMT Kargil to offer proactive support and cooperation to the Administration in organizing the Ashura processions peacefully.

 

Khan also issued directives to the Police Department to ensure proper security and efficient traffic management during the day, ensuring that the 10th Muharram processions are conducted smoothly and without any hassles. It was also conveyed that ADC Wani and ASP Kargil will personally oversee the observance of Ashura.

 

The CEC emphasized the importance of close coordination between religious organizations and the concerned departments to ensure seamless service delivery to the people during Ashura.

 

Additionally, the Health, MC, and PHE Departments were directed to make proper arrangements for adequate health facilities, cleanliness, and drinking water.

 

The concerned officers were further instructed to maintain close coordination with the volunteers of AJUIAK and IKMT to ensure effective execution of the event.
