CEC Feroz Khan visits Kargil Boys Hostel Jammu, inspects facilities

Kargil, May 06, 2023: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today visited Kargil Boys Hostel Channi Rama, Jammu to inspect the facilities available for the students.

He was accompanied by Executive Councilor PW (R&B), Mubarak Shah Naqvi, EC Social Welfare, Agha Syed Mehdi Fazili, EC Health Mohsin Ali, Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Santosh Sukhadeve, Superintending Engineer PW(R&B), Abdul Mutalib, Executive Engineer PW (R&B), Sadiq Ali, Councilors and other officers and officials.

During the visit, the CEC inspected various compartments of the hostel. He also visited the library, multipurpose hall and other compartments to inspect the facilities for students.

The students thanked the UT Administration, LAHDC, Kargil and District Administration Kargil for establishing the full-fledged library-cum-study room and computer laboratory in the hostel.

They also thanked the CEC for providing numerous other items which include ambulance, 15KV power generator, 55 inch UHD TV, kitchen appliances, etc. for their convenience. They said that all their demands have been fulfilled and they are happy over the facilities.

The students also presented a memorandum of request to the CEC that include water cooler, ACs, study table, study chair, repairing of electric panel and replacement of electric wires, tiles for walls of rooms adjacent to bathrooms, computers for the library, etc.

The CEC assured them that all their genuine demands will be fulfilled in due course of time adding that the LAHDC Kargil is committed to improving the education.

While interacting with the students stationed at Jammu, Khan advised them to dedicate themselves to their studies and excel in their respective careers.

“We have offered administrative and moral responsibility. Now, the onus is on students to use the facilities and shine in their academic career and bring laurels to entire Ladakh region,” he said.
