CEC Gyalson commences two-day tour to Korzok constituency

Assess public grievances, assures to address them at earliest

 

Leh, Dec 16: Chairman/ CEC, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson is on a two-day tour of Korzok constituency commencing from today, accompanied by Executive Councillor for Rural Development, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee.

 

Councillor Korzok, Karma Namdak; BJP State Vice President, Nawang Samsten; BJP District President, Tashi Gyaltson Khachu; village representatives led by Sarpanch and Nambardars and other concerned stakeholders were also in attendance.

 

At the outset of the tour, CEC Gyalson visited Samad-Rokchan village to assess the public grievances. During the visit, CEC Gyaslon also distributed the subsidised livestock feed under LAHDC Scheme to the nomadic villagers of the Samad-Rokchan.

 

At Samad-Rokchan, the villagers demanded their permanent settlement at Nuruchan site considering the need to access a better future with education, health, water and fodder availability and development. Assessing their demand, CEC Gyaslon assured to provide all possible support to fulfill their demand.

 

Similarly, CEC Gyalson led team visited Angkung village and Sumdho TR Gongma and Sumdho Yokma villages and held public gatherings where the villagers put forth their issues and grievances.

 

During his visit, CEC Gyalson apprised the public at all the villages about the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra envisioned by Hon’ble Prime Minister to ensure saturation of all the flagship schemes of the central government. He assured that Hill Council would make all necessary and concerted efforts to ensure that the benefits of all the flagship schemes such as Golden Card and others are availed-off by the targeted beneficiaries.

 

CEC Gyalson also reviewed the availability of basic amenities to the public especially considering the cold and harsh winters of the region. He also added that Hill Council would undertake necessary actions to resolve the grievances and demands of the public in the next budget session.
