CEC Kargil inspects ongoing work of NH-301 Kargil-Zanskar Highway

Kargil, July 28, 2024: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today inspected the ongoing road construction work of NH-301 Kargil-Zanskar Highway and addressed various bottlenecks on spot at TSG Block.
He also attended the 35th anniversary of the prominent socio-religious figure Aga Syed Haider Razvi at Choskore Thang village. Additionally, he flagged off a school bus for Noon Public High School Choskore Thang, provided by NHIDCL through CSR funds.
The CEC was received by Executive Councilor, Aga Syed Mujtaba; Councilor Saliskote Sajjad Khan; Councilor GM Pore, Syed Ali and General Manager, NHIDCL at Ashuna Thang.
Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Srikant Suse, Rector Kargil Campus, University of Ladakh, Kaneez Fatima; Elijah Spalbar Gergen prominent Educationist; Chairman Anjuman-e Shaeb Zaman, Sadiq Baligai and various other religious scholars were present at 35th Anniversary of Aga Syed Haider Razvi.
CEC Kargil conducted an on-site assessment of the ongoing road construction work by NHIDCL at TSG Block. During the inspection, CEC Kargil directed the General Manager of NHIDCL and the consultant to use the available land judiciously at various locations.
The CEC stated that the compensation for land has already been delivered to the beneficiaries. He directed the GM NHIDCL to widen the road at various locations where possible, beyond the allotted width, without any disputes.
Dr. Jaffer also directed to properly repair irrigation canals affected by the road construction work to ensure that the people of the area do not suffer during the farming season.
While addressing the 35th anniversary of Aga Syed Haider Razi, the CEC said that he feels blessed to work under such a prominent socio-religious figure of the district, who dedicated his life to serving the people, especially the marginalized sections of society.
While recalling his countless contributions, CEC Kargil said that Aga Syed Haider Razvi was a visionary scholar who was far ahead of his time in terms of progressive thinking, particularly in the education sector.
He said Aga Syed Haider Razvi guided many students in pursuing their education and enabled them to achieve pioneering heights in their respective careers.
The CEC cited the example of his elder brother, former Cabinet Minister and Co-Chairman of KDA, Qamar Ali Akoon. He also mentioned his own example, noting that his roles as a former CMO and currently as Chairman/CEC of LAHDC, Kargil, are the result of Aga Syed Haider Razvi’s timely guidance.
CEC Kargil said that such prominent personalities, with their visionary ideas, not only revolutionized the religious sphere of our lives but also inspired the younger generation to dream big and achieve success while keeping our religious values intact.
He said Aga Syed Haider Razvi should be remembered forever. CEC Kargil stressed to have such seminars regularly to impart his visionary teaching to coming generations as well.
The CEC also thanked Chief Patron Anjum-e-Sahaeb Zaman Aga Migh-e-oth for organizing the program and giving him an opportunity for speaking on this auspicious occasion.
Councilor Sajjad Khan, Elijah Spalbar Gergen, Rector Kaneez Fatima, and other prominent religious figures threw light on the teachings and vision of Aga Syed Hiader Razvi.
En route to Kargil, the CEC also visited Govt. Model High School Sangrah. He appreciated the artwork of team Stringmo, who are transforming the school’s wall with their colorful artistic skills.
CEC Kargil said that such great talent among girls is a proud moment. He also congratulated their mentor, master Sajjad Hussain (BOB), for his consistent support to team Stringmo in enhancing their art and encouraging them to pursue their talent.
