By Commissioner/Secretary Higher Education Padma Angmo visits Zanskar Sub-Division
Kargil, May 10, 2024: Commissioner/Secretary Higher Education Department, Union Territory of Ladakh, Padma Angmo accompanied by Additional Secretary, Higher Education/Joint Director, Information, Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho and Tashi Ldawa, Director, College Affairs UT Ladakh visited Zanskar Sub-Division on 9th May, 2024. 
The Commissioner/Secretary visited the Nunnery School in Zangla and interacted with students and teachers. The students shared their learning experiences with the Commissioner/Secretary.
Padma Angmo also discussed the challenges and other issues regarding the Anganwadi Centre/School with the teachers and Nuns. The Nuns of Zangla requested the Commissioner/Secretary to provide funds for construction of the ICDS Centres. Later, she inspected the site for construction of a building for Anganwadi Centre at the Nunnery.
On Friday (10 May), the Commissioner Secretary visited Secpad School Karsha Youlsum and interacted with teachers and students.
She also inspected the Anganwadi Centres at Langmi Rejing and Sani and directed the Supervisor and workers to maintain the Poshan Tracker register, hygiene snack and weight & height measurements. 
The Commissioner/ Secretary also directed the CDPO to issue uniforms for the workers and helpers and review the monthly progress while also making efforts to improve functioning of Anganwadi Centres.
