DC Kargil chairs meeting to review heating arrangement in schools

 

KARGIL, NOVEMBER 02, 2021: Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve today chaired a meeting of the concened officers to discuss preparations for heating arrangements in government schools in view of the ensuing winter season.

The meeting was attended by the ACD Kargil Ghulam Mohd, CEO Kargil Nazir Ahmad Wani, BDO Drass Ghulam Rasool, Accounts Officer Ajaz Ahmad,  representatives of Kargil Renewable Energy Development Agency (KREDA) besides other concerned officers.

 

During the meeting, it was informed that the UT Administration is providing passive solar heating facilities to government schools of Drass and Zanskar including heating and insulation of rooms in all schools.

 

The Deputy Commissioner directed the ACD Kargil to collect parameters for the procurement of equipment for heating arrangements in schools, and asked him to furnish a report in this regard by Saturday so that heating arrangements are made in schools in a timely manner.

 

During the meeting, DC Santosh Sukhadeve also directed the officials to ensure procurement of  equipment well in time so that students don’t face any kind of inconvenience in schools during the winter months.

 

The Deputy Commissioner also instructed the concerned officers to ensure all necessary arrangements for heating arrangements on priority. He further stated that the administration is taking requisite  measures for smooth functioning of educational institutions to safeguard the interests of the students.
