DC Leh Santosh Sukhadeve chairs Vidyalaya Management Committee meeting at JNV Leh

Leh, August 26: The Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC) meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Leh.

At the outset, Principal, Suresh Kumar Bahrod apprised the DC about the major accomplishments of the school and gave a detailed presentation of the annual agenda points viz the need for a central heating system, increasing height of boundary wall, construction of Multipurpose Hall, basketball court and open gym, repairing of internal roads, solar lights arrangements, proper place for garbage disposal and other infrastructure improvements.

DC Leh who is also the chairman of VMC appreciated the various accomplishments and successes achieved by the school and added that the institution is helping students, mostly from rural areas in India, who lacked access to accelerated learning due to various disadvantages.

The DC assures all possible support from district administration for the development of the school and further added that the demand for solarised bathrooms and solar light arrangements is genuine and administration will work on it on a priority basis.
He also gave necessary direction to the concerned agencies for timely redressal of those issues that need immediate attention.

Additionally, he urged all the stakeholders involved to work in collaboration and coordination to provide the best facilities for the institution and help in building a brighter future of the students.

Later, DC took a round of the school Campus and also interacted with students and urged them to give their best in their academics.

The meeting was also attended by members of VMC – ADDC Leh; CPO Leh, CEO Leh, Director LREDA Leh; Ex En PWD Leh; Principal, KV Leh; SDO BSNL Leh; representatives from medical departments, parents association as well as staff members of JNV Leh.
