DC Santosh Sukhadeve reviews arrangements for Sarhad Kargil International Marathon, 2021
KARGIL, OCTOBER 25, 2021: Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve chaired a meeting of the district officers and representatives of Sarhad Pune to discuss preparations for Sarhad Kargil International Marathon, 2021 scheduled to be held at Khree Sultan Cho Sports Stadium Biamathang on October, 31.
Additional SP Kargil Iftikhar Ahmad, ACR Abdul Zargar, ACD Ghulam Muhammad, officers of PWD, PDD, Tourism Education, Health, Youth Services and Sports, Cultural Academy, Information, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Sports Authority of India besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.
It was informed during the meeting that the event is being organized by Sarhad Pune and Ladakh Police in collaboration with Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Kargil and District Administration Kargil and is comprised of Unity Run, International full and half marathon, and cultural events.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to conduct the Unity Run in Kargil Town as well as different zones. He instructed the concerned officers to ensure all necessary arrangements including medical service, sanitation and cleanliness, PAS system, stage decoration, deployment of physical teachers, sports trainers and volunteers and other allied arrangements to make the event successful.
