DIET Leh Hosts Folk Dance and Role Play Competitions Under National Population Education Programme

The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Leh successfully organized Folk Dance and Role Play Competitions as part of the National Population Education Programme, bringing together students from government schools across the district.

The event aimed to foster creativity, cultural expression, and awareness among students on social and population-related themes. Students and teachers participated enthusiastically, reflecting DIET Leh’s commitment to promoting holistic, value-based, and experiential learning.

Folk Dance Competition Results

The Folk Dance Competition showcased vibrant performances rooted in cultural heritage. The final positions were:

1st Position: High School Yourgo 2nd Position: High School Hemis Shukpachan 3rd Position: High School Chumathang 4th Position: Higher Secondary School Silmo

The competitions served as a platform for students to express their artistic talents while also understanding social issues through engaging and interactive formats. DIET Leh continues to organize such initiatives to strengthen co-curricular learning and community engagement in schools.
