Public Outreach Camp Held at MES Colony, Aglings Under ‘Mimang–Si–sJabstogs’ Initiative

Leh, December 10, 2025:

As part of the ongoing “Mimang–Si–sJabstogs – Administration at Your Doorstep” initiative, a public outreach camp was successfully organized at the MES Colony Community Hall, Aglings. The programme was held under the supervision of Dr. Tundup Namgial, Deputy Director, PGF, Upshi, Leh, with the objective of extending government services and welfare schemes directly to residents.

Warm Reception & Community Participation

The event began with a warm welcome from the local Nambardars, who expressed gratitude to the district administration for bringing essential services to their locality. They appreciated the efforts of the officials and acknowledged the significance of the programme in addressing community needs.

Multiple Departments Provide On-the-Spot Services

These departments extended on-the-spot service delivery, addressed grievances, and shared detailed information about government schemes and welfare programmes.

Finalisation of pending land allotment cases Construction of roadside drainage systems Installation of street lighting Completion of the Ama Tsopaa Office Building Establishment of a medical centre Development of a children’s park Opening of a ration store Installation of a 240 kV transformer

They also voiced serious concerns regarding:

Infrastructure Problems

Absence of sewerage pipeline connections, leading to unhygienic living conditions Poor condition of internal roads at Urgyanling Gonpa Line No. 1, 2, and 3, which are riddled with potholes and not properly connected to the main road The need for improvements considering nearly 300 households in the area

Call for Immediate Action

The Nambardars emphasized the urgent requirement for:

Construction of sewerage pipelines Blacktopping of internal roads Development of basic community infrastructure

They requested the administration to sanction necessary funds at the earliest to address these long-pending issues.
