Director RD&PRD reviews progress of different schemes in Kargil
Kargil, August 05, 2023: Director, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department (RD&PRD), Ladakh, Tahir Hussain Zubdavi, today convened a meeting at Conference Hall to take stock of the various projects and works being executed under different schemes under the RD&PRD sector in Kargil district.
Executive Engineer, REW, Chairperson BDCs, Block Development Officers, AEEs, AEs, JEs, Technical Assistant, GRS, NRLM staff, President Panchayat Coordination Committee Kargil attended the meeting.
During the course of the meeting, the Director RDD took stock of the physical and financial progress achieved in case of works under different schemes including SDP ongoing works, State Sector ongoing works and status of DPRs for new approved works for AA, PMAY (G), MGNREGA, SBM (G), NRLM, PMFME, Grant in Aid, BDC as well as PRIs, Panchayat Developmental activities and other related schemes.
The Director took an extensive review of the progress on Action Plan under Grant in Aids. He also assessed the status of BDC work plan and status of convergence plan to be taken up with the line departments and implementation of MGNREGA in all Blocks.
He directed BDOs to adhere to set timelines set for each work by meticulously utilizing the working season. The Director directed the concerned authorities to resolve the pendency of issues and remove bottlenecks, if any, on priority so that execution of works isnβt delayed.
The Director instructed the concerned officers to work in tandem and close coordination with the public representatives, PRI members and villagers to ensure effective implementation of the welfare schemes on ground for benefit of the general population.
He also stressed on creation of durable assets while strictly adhering to quality parameters. The BDC Chairpersons and Sarpanches also apprised the Director regarding various issues and concerns of their areas.
The Director RDD lauded the support of the BDCs and PRIs for all timely coordination with the department and hoped to support in future as well for the development of the district.
Later, Chairperson BDC, Drass also thanked the Director RD&PRD for conducting the meeting and giving a patient hearing to their issues and concerns.
