Dy Chairman Angchuk inaugurates residential Govt High School at Gya village


Leh, April 08: Deputy Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk inaugurated the residential Government High School at Gya village in Kharu sub-division.

Deputy Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk informed that the opening of the residential school in the village is an attempt to club and revive the receding number to students in the nearby schools. He added that a complete hostel infrastructure with requisite facilities and school building would be constructed in the near future.


The inaugural ceremony had the presence of Councillor Igoo, Stanzin Thardot ; Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Kharu, Gurmet Namgail; Chief Education Officer (CEO), Leh, Sonam Dorjey; Deputy CEO, Kharu block, Choldan Tundup; Director LEDeG, Leh, Ishey Tundup; Village Education Committee (VEC) member, Thinles Gurmet; Commanding Officer, 111RCC GREF, Shakti Punya and representative from 17000ft NGO.
