EC Er Phunchok Tashi sends team to assess flash flood damages in village Sking Lungnak
Kargil, August 05, 2024: Executive Councilor, RDD/PR, Cooperative, Forest, Wildlife, FCS&CA and Zanskar Development Authority, Er Phunchok Tashi Today sent a team to assess damages caused due to flash flood in village Sking Lungnak.
The community members of village Sking informed Er Phunchok Tashi about the flash flood and damages caused in the village on Sunday, August 4, 2024, due to a cloudburst in the area.
The team, under the chairmanship of Mohd Hassan, Tehsildar Zanskar, was directed to visit the site along with officers from PWD Zanskar, REW Zanskar, and the Agriculture Department Zanskar
.
The team has been tasked with assessing the damages and losses, and taking immediate steps to restore Zamindari Khul and the field at Sking, as well as the footbridge at Thangso. This is to ensure continued service to the farmers, and prioritize relief and rehabilitation for affected households.
