EC Kacho Mohammed Feroz inaugurates Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Kargil town

 

Kargil, Dec 15: Executive Councilor for Tourism and Works, LAHDC, Kargil, Kacho Mohammed Feroz today inaugurated the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Kargil Town at an event held at Auditorium Hall, Kargil.

 

The inaugural event started with the conduct of the event in Ward 1&2 of Kargil Town, on the first day of the Yatra.

 

Administrator MC/Joint Director, Information, Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho, Councilor Town, Haji Mohammad Abbas, Executive Officer MC Kargil, line departments, beneficiaries besides other concerned officers were present during the inaugural event.

 

Addressing the event, EC Feroz said the Yatra is being organized to spread awareness about the Central Sponsored Schemes and make India a developed nation by 2047.

 

He directed the relevant departments to intensify efforts in raising awareness about centrally sponsored schemes among the beneficiaries. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of ensuring that women benefit maximally from these schemes, aiming to contribute to their economic upliftment.

 

Administrator MC-Kargil/JD-Information, Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho expressed happiness over the arrival of the Sankalp Yatra in the urban areas and sought cooperation of all departments to make it a success. While highlighting the efforts of DIRP-Ladakh, he launched a short film on the four years of accomplishments of UT Ladakh with narration in Purgi.

 

Further, he informed the participants about the publication of an achievement booklet of the UT Administration titled “Ladakh: From Potential to Prosperity- The 4-Year Journey’ which has already been distributed among every household of Ladakh. The film was screened during the event. Kacho also threw light on the beneficiary-oriented schemes being implemented by MC-Kargil including Swachh Bharat Urban, PM Svandihi and PMAY.

 

Councilor Town, Haji Mohammad Abbas thanked the concerned departments for organizing the event and requested beneficiaries to get maximum benefits from the event.

 

Executive Officer, MC Kargil, Shafaqat Ali Khan thanked the dignitaries and beneficiaries for making the event a success.

 

During the event, the beneficiaries were informed about various centrally sponsored schemes by departments like Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, ICDS, Health, Youth Services and Sports, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Industries, J&K Bank, ICICI Bank, etc.

 

The second phase of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Urban Zone Kargil was held at Government Middle School, Chanchik, Kargil

in Ward 2.

JD-Information, Imteeaz Kacho and Councillor Town, Haji Mohd Abass graced the event along with the Executive Officer, MC, District Officials, senior citizens of the Ward and former Members the Ward.

 

The Administrator/Joint Director highlighted the upcoming mega projects in the Town like Slaughter House, Truck Terminal and Solid Waste Management Plant and lauded the efforts of sweepers, drivers, supervisors, under the able guidance of Executive Officer Shafqat Ali Khan, in keeping Kargil neat and clean.

 

Councillor Town Haji Abass expressed gratitude to the departments for organizing productive awareness camps in their area.

 

Representatives from various departments elaborated extensively on the diverse schemes offered within their respective domains aimed at public welfare.

 

The health camp set up during the event was attended by 22 people and a total of 13 Ayushman Bharat Cards were generated.

 

Notably, 300 beneficiaries of both Wards of Chanchik participated in both the events.
