EC Mohsin Ali takes stock of status of compensation works related to damage caused by snowfall in Shakar-Chiktan,  Shargole 

 

Directs officers to submit report within a week’s time

 

KARGIL, NOVEMBER 02, 2021: Executive Councilor for Health and Agriculture Mohsin Ali chaired a review meeting to take status of the assessment of damages in Shakar-Chiktan Sub Division and Shargole Constituency to provide compensation to the affected population in the aftermath of the recent sudden snowfall.

The EC also took stock of the status of developmental activities of various concerned departments during the meeting.

 

Former Executive Councillor and Councillor Shargole Muhammad Ali Chandan, Sub Divisional Magistrate Shakar Chiktan, Tehsildar Chiktan and Shargole, Chief Horticulture Officer Kargil, Executive Engineers of R&B-II Kargil, Public Health Engineering Division, Irrigation & Flood Control Kargil, Incharge Divisional Forest Officer Kargil besides other concerned officers were present during the meeting.

 

During the course of the meeting, the concerned executive engineers and other officers briefed the EC Health about the work wise and scheme wise progress achieved on developmental activities presently underway in Shakar-Chiktan Sub-Division and Shargole Constituency.

 

The EC Health directed the SDM and Chief Horticulture Officer to complete the assessment of damages caused due to  snowfall, and submit the same to the concerned departments within a week’s time positively so that compensation can be processed accordingly.

 

EC Mohsin Ali while expressing satisfaction over the progress of works directed the concerned officers to speed up the pace of the ongoing works considering the limited working season. He stressed to complete the works during the current financial year as per the targets fixed by the departments.

 

The EC also stressed the concerned officers to keep the public representatives and PRI members well informed about the developmental activities and further suggested them to work in due consultation with them.
