EC Sheep Husbandry inaugurates field veterinary clinic at Sasoma village

Leh, June 09: Executive Councillor, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee today inaugurated a field veterinary clinic at Sasoma village in Kharu block.

 

Councillor Sonam Thardos; Sarpanch, Gya Meru, Tsering Dawa; District Sheep Husbandry Officer (DSHO), Leh, Dr Tundup Namgyal and Block Officer, Sheep Husbandry Department, Kharu, Konchok Rabjor were also present on the occasion.

It was informed that the veterinary clinic is equipped with all the necessary field veterinary equipment and would further improve the reach and quality of veterinary services in the adjoining areas as well.

 

A breeders camp was also organised which was attended by the livestock rearers of Gya and Sasoma villages. The camp highlighted the importance of revival of sheep and goat rearing, organised livestock husbandry and pashmina production.
