EC Tashi chairs meeting regarding subsidy, CCDA schemes

Kargil, Nov 17, 2022:

Executive Councilor Tourism, RD and Zanskar Affairs, LAHDC, Kargil, Er. Punchok Tashi today chaired a meeting regarding physical and financial progress under subsidy and Councilor Constituency Development Allocation (CCDA) schemes at Council Secretariat Kargil.

ACD Ghulam Muhammad, Chief Controller Finance (CCF) Kargil, Iftikhar Hussain and all Block Development Officers (BDOs) were present in the meeting.

During the meeting, the EC sought details from the BDOs of the respective blocks regarding the expenditure achieved till date.

During the meeting, Baosmati Goyogs, which is a new scheme of PMAY pattern for construction of houses sanctioned in the district Capex, recommended by Councilors in their constituencies’ CCDF fund, was discussed in detail.

Chief Controller of Finance and ACD informed EC Tashi that the funds which are being provided under Baosmati Goyogs from CCDA will go through the Expenditure Advance Transfer (EAT) model of payment and will be credited directly to the beneficiary account. This pattern of payment ensures high transparency of fund utilization and avoids misuse.

After a detailed discussion on various aspects, the EC was satisfied over the pattern of this scheme and targets achieved by the Rural Development Department Kargil in terms of financial and physical progress of different works. Tashi stressed on utilization of 100 percent funds released under this scheme.

During the meeting, he directed the concerned officials to ensure that maximum benefits are provided to deserving people across the district.
