Education Dept. Kargil organizes career counselling program for students

Kargil, June 15, 2023 On the direction of Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan, Education Department Kargil under the guidance of Chief Education Officer Kargil, Mushtaq Ahmad today organized one-day career guidance-cum-counselling program for the students here at Auditorium Hall, Kargil.

During the occasion, Sukhreet Gupta, Founder Achievers Classes, Divya Prakash, Eduethic Foundation Delhi, Dr Javed Naqi, Senior Assistant Professor GDC, Kargil, NEET topper from Ladakh Iftikar Hussain, teachers, students of different schools attended the career guidance and counselling program.

The students of Govt. Degree College, Kargil, Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Kargil, Govt. High School Poyen, Suru valley Public School, Munshi Habibullah Mission School beside other students participated in the event.

The resource persons spoke about career guidance and different opportunities after 12th and graduation.

Dr Javid Naqi Senior Assistant Professor, GDC Kargil briefed students about the Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) and schemes of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

The resource persons discussed several fresh measures put forth by the administration to raise educational standards in the district. They also highlighted scholarship opportunities and programs available for students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds.

The interactive program was followed by a Question and Answer session with the resource persons.

Coordinator, SAMAGRA SHIKSHA, Syed Sajjad said the program was aimed to guide students and aware them about different career choices and options that are accessible to them as well as the actions they may take to follow their aspirations, as they are on the threshold of making important career choices.

The career counselling program was conducted successfully. The resource persons said that such programs help the students to take right decisions about their career at the right time to achieve their dreams.
