Ex-servicemen of Pashkum block chairs meeting

KARGIL, JULY 16: Ex Serviceman of Pashkum block along with BDC Pashkum Sarpanch Pashkum B, chaired a meeting at Panchayat Ghar Pashkum B, today.

 

During the meeting, Haji Ahmed District President of the ex-service man association at the district level, and Mohd Hussain, the Block President who is also an ex-service man, addressed the gathering.

 

They requested the public representatives to provide an office space at the block level.

 

Their request for an office at the block level is aimed at facilitating the smooth functioning of official work directly. They informed that they have received assurance from LG Ladakh and the higher authorities of the Indian army regarding support for the day-to-day lives of soldiers and retired army personnel.

 

The speakers emphasized that the Indian army provides various facilities to support soldiers, retirees, and their families.

 

These facilities range from healthcare services to housing assistance. It’s reassuring to know that the army takes care of the welfare of its personnel, even after retirement.

 

Additionally, at the end a WhatsApp group was created to connect army personnel and ex-members of the Indian security forces.

 

This group will serve as a platform for communication and networking among the members, enabling them to stay connected and support one another.

 

The meeting highlighted the importance of establishing an office at the block level and emphasized the support and facilities provided by the Indian army for the well-being of soldiers, retirees, and their families.
