KARGIL , JULY 15 : In a stunning display of talent and creativity, a team of young artists from Kargil Ladakh has emerged victorious by winning all the prizes in a painting competition organized by the Indian Army during the Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations.

The event aimed to commemorate the bravery and sacrifices made by the Indian soldiers during the Kargil War of 1999.

On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas Shastra Pradarshan, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 8th Mountain Division, along with his team, had an engaging interaction with the young artists of Kargil Ladakh.

The initiative aimed to commemorate the heroism and sacrifice of the soldiers during the Kargil War and inspire the youth through the arts.

During the event, the GoC shared stories of valor and bravery exhibited by soldiers during the Kargil War, providing a source of inspiration for the young artists’ creative expression.

He emphasized the importance of paying tribute through art and commended the effort of the art community in capturing the essence of the Kargil War and immortalizing the heroes through their work.

The young artists expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to interact with the GOC and his team, which fueled their inspiration to create art that reflects the sacrifices made by soldiers defending the country’s borders.
