The Higher Education Department of the Union Territory of Ladakh has officially released the final list of candidates selected for financial assistance under the REWA 2.0 Scheme for the year 2025. The scheme supports eligible aspirants preparing for the UPSC Civil Services (Prelims) examination.
According to the department, the selection process involved a series of steps beginning with the invitation of applications from eligible students across Leh and Kargil.
Key Highlights of the Selection Process
The department conducted an OMR-based written examination on 16 November 2025 for registered candidates. Candidates shortlisted from the written test were called for document verification on 25 November 2025. Out of 40 provisionally selected candidates, six did not appear, leading to the preparation of the final merit list based on performance and verification.
The final list of selected candidates is attached as Annexure A in the issued notice.
Instructions for Selected Candidates
Candidates must enrol in coaching (online or offline) within two months from the issuance of the final merit list. Those from Leh or Kargil availing online coaching are not eligible for lodging assistance. Financial assistance of ₹1,00,000 will be paid directly to the coaching institute upon submission of: Registration/enrolment forms Tax invoice GST bill (computer-generated copies accepted) Candidates must also submit notarised affidavits within one week of the merit list issuance.
As a one-time exception, students already enrolled in coaching after 30 September 2025 may claim reimbursement upon submission of valid bills, subject to the scheme limit of ₹1 lakh.
Important Advisory
The department warns that if any incorrect or false documents are detected at any stage, the financial assistance will be fully recovered, and necessary action may follow.
It also reserves the right to correct any error or typographical mistakes in the notice.
