The Forest, Ecology & Environment Department of the Union Territory of Ladakh has released the combined final seniority list of Forest Range Officer Grade-II (Non-Gazetted) under the Ladakh Forest (Territorial) Subordinate Service as of 04 October 2025.
The order, issued with the approval of Principal Secretary Sh. Sanjeev Khirwar (IAS), finalizes the placement of officers after completing all procedural requirements, including inviting objections and verifying records.
How the Final List Was Prepared
A draft seniority list was issued earlier under the Ladakh Forest (Territorial) Subordinate Service Recruitment Rules-2022. Objections were invited from officers of Kargil and Leh Forest Divisions through a circular dated 30 October 2025. The Divisional Forest Officer, Leh, confirmed that no objections were received. One representation regarding a spelling correction for the name of Mohd Ilyaz, Forest Range Officer Grade-II, was submitted by the Kargil Forest Division and was duly corrected. The tentative seniority list was also published on the official website on 30 October 2025 for public comments within 20 days. Since no objections were submitted within the stipulated timeframe, the department has finalized the seniority list.
Key Clarification
The notification states that the date of birth mentioned for officers in the seniority list should not be treated as final and will remain subject to verification from service books or birth certificates.
The order is issued without prejudice to any pending writ petitions before competent courts.
