First batch of 282 pilgrims of Ladakh returns

Kargil, July 20, 2023: The first batch of 282 pilgrims from Ladakh returned from the annual Haj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

 

Chairperson Haj Committee, Ladakh, M Ali Majaz, Members of Haj Committee, I/C Executive Officer, Haj Committee and staff of Haj committee UT Ladakh received the pilgrims at Srinagar International Airport today (July 20) at 7:00 a.m.

 

The Haj Pilgrims were received with warm welcome and were greeted on performing Haj and for the successful culmination of their Holy Journey.

 

Chairperson, Haj Committee, Ladakh enquired about the arrangements made for smooth, comfortable and hassle-free movement of Haj Pilgrims at Srinagar International Airport.

 

The 2nd and final batch of Haj Pilgrims are arriving tomorrow (21 July) at Srinagar International Airport at 7:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. in two flights including 07 ladies without Mehram.

 

During interaction with Haj pilgrims, the Chairperson Haj Committee, Ladakh thanked Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Home Minister, Amit Shah, Hon’ble Union Minister of Minority Affairs, Smriti Zubin Irani, Hon’ble LG, J&K Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble LG, UT Ladakh, (Retd.) Brig Dr. B D Mishra, Hon’ble CEC, LAHDC, Leh/Kargil, Hon’ble Advisor to HLG, UT Ladakh, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) UT, Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, Chairperson Haj Committee, J&K, Safina Beigh Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir/Ladakh, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar/ Budgam /Leh/ Kargil, Regional Passport Officer Srinagar, Davinder Kumar, SSP Leh/Kargil, Director Health & Family Welfare JK/Ladakh, Director Airport, SSP Traffic, CEO Hajj Committee, J&K, Commissioner SMC, SE Customs, CMO Leh/Kargil representatives of CISF and CRPF, Hajj Officer JK, and Haj staff of UT JK/Ladakh (Khadim ul Hujjaj Iftikhar Ahmad and M Ali Khan), representatives of Jal Shakti, KPDCL, Fire and Emergency, Security, Home Guards, SRTC etc.

 

All the Haj Pilgrims thanked for the proper arrangements made by the Haj Committee of India/Haj Committee of Ladakh and J&K at Mecca and Madina.
