Four-day FBNC training begins in Leh
Leh, Aug 22: A four-day Facility Based New Born Care (FBNC) training began at Conference Hall, SNM Hospital Leh.
In a first of its kind initiative, State Health Society, National Health Mission, Union Territory of Ladakh is organizing four days
Facility Based Newborn Care (FBNC) training from August 22 to 25.
The training is organised for SNCU Staff of District Leh and District Kargil
The training program is exclusively for paediatricians, medical officers and staff nurses from both the districts of UT Ladakh.
Resource person invited especially for the training program are Dr Sushma Nangia, KSCH, LHMC; Dr Mamta Jajoo, CNBC, Delhi; Dr Ashish Jain, MAMC, Delhi and Dr Pratima Anand, VMMC, Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi.
The advanced training of all the doctors and staff will be competed in institutions at Lady Hardinge Medical College, Maulana Azad Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi.
While interacting with the participants, Mission Director, Dr Iftakhar Chowdhury thanked the team of expert doctors for accepting the request of NHM Ladakh for this training program. He emphasised the trainees to take up the training seriously and to implement the skills obtained for better child care.
Additional Secretary and Mission Director NHM, Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed Chowdhary; Director Health Services, Dr Motup Dorje; Medical Superintendent, SNM Hospital and other concerns were present on the first day of the training program.
