GDC Drass celebrates “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign

 

Kargil, August 10, 2023: As a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Govt. Degree College Drass today celebrated the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign, an idea to celebrate India’s soil and valour, at the college campus.

 

The event commenced with a flag-hoisting ceremony by the In-charge Principal of the college followed by singing of National Anthem by students and faculty members.

 

Convener Cultural Committee of the college, Dr Shah Niwaz briefed the students about the importance of the event and the role of the young minds in this endeavor. All faculty and students of the college enthusiastically participated in the event.

 

Later, to instill a sense of pride in the country, a pledge ceremony was also conducted under the banner of ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’. The event reinforced the idea that the bond between our land and our country is one that should be cherished and protected by everyone.

 

The overall proceedings of the event were conducted by the Cultural Committee, Physical Education and Sports Department of the college.
