GDC Nubra observes World Earth Day

The Development Committee of Government Degree College (GDC) Nubra observed World Earth Day by initiating a plantation drive, as per this year’s theme ‘Invest in Our Planet’, at the college campus today in the presence of Principal, GDC Nubra, Dr Tsewang Motup.


Speaking on the importance of observing Earth Day, Assistant Professor EVS, Tsewang Lhamo stressed the role and responsibility of each of us to assist in the conservation and preservation of mother earth.


Around 100 saplings of willow and poplar trees brought voluntarily by the students were planted on the college campus.


Similarly, staff members also prepared a flower bed near the administrative block to beautify the campus.
