GMDC Zanskar conducts career counselling session under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav
KARGIL, NOVEMBER 01, 2021: As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav – Celebrating 75th Year of India’s Independence, Government Model Degree College (GMDC) Zanskar conducted a career counselling session for students wherein the students of the college and Government Higher Secondary School Padum participated.
The program began with the welcome address by Principal Government Higher Secondary School Padum Rinchan Wangbo followed by a speech by Nasir Shabani, Principal GMDC Zanskar who delivered a comprehensive speech regarding the overall infrastructure facilities available in the college, and appealed the students to take admission in GMDC Zanskar.
Dr Tashi Lundup, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology spoke about the availability of subjects in humanities and future prospects in the field.He also emphasised that along with infrastructure, quality of education is equally important along with community involvement.
Stanzin Dadul, Assistant Professor Botany spoke about science subjects taught in the college and stressed on the importance of students’ participation in classroom in particular and overall participation in general.
On the occassion, Director College Physical Education and Sports, Murtaza Ali talked about the sports facilities available in the college and asserted the students to take part in sports activities.
Assistant Professor Political Science, Tsewang Gyaltson spoke about importance of various competitive examinations like UPSC, SSC, RRB and IBPS etc.
At the end, Gaylak Lecturer presented vote of thanks while Sonam Angmo and Stanzin Chuzin, BSc students of GMDC Zanskar conducted the program proceedings.
