GDC Kargil, Power Grid India observe Vigilance Awareness Week
KARGIL, NOVEMBER 01, 2O21: In connection with Vigilance Awareness Week, Government Degree College Kargil in collaboration with Power Grid Corporation of India Limited organized a debate contest on the theme -India @75, Self Reliance with Integrity.
The debate contest had 70 registrations and 15 participants expressed their views on the theme.
On the occasion, Syed Shamim, DGM Powergrid Corporation of India Limited was the chief guest while Balwinder Kumar, Chief Manager Power Grid India Limited was the guest of honour.
The chief guest in his presidential address spoke about the importance of the Vigilance Week and impressed upon the participants to actively work to curb the menace of corruption.
Dr Javed Naqi, Officiating Principal GDC Kargil presented the welcome address and appreciated Powergrid India for supporting the event.
The winners of the debate competition were Faiza Naaz student of 1st semester who secured the 1st position, Kaneez Fatima stydent of 4th semster who stood second while Kaneez Fatima student of 4th semester remained on 3rd position. Student of 5th semester Sajida Bulbul secured the 4th position during the debate.
The participating debators were presented momentoes recognising their participation in the event.
The event was conducted by Sajjad Hussain HoD Environmental Sciences while Dr Syed Ali Shah HoD Psychology and Hakeema Bano HoD English were the jury members.
DGM Balwinder Kumar delivered the vote of thanks at the end.
