‘Good Governance Week’: Health dept. organizes training-cum-awareness program at GNM School Kargil

As part of ‘Good Governance Week’ being observed across Kargil under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM), themed “Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur”, Executive Councilor Health, LAHDC, Kargil, Mohsin Ali today attended an training-cum-awareness program organized by health department at GNM School Kurbathang, Kargil.
Besides the EC, the program was attended by CMO Kargil, Dr. Munawar Hussain Wazir, Medical Superintendent Kargil, Dr. Liaqat, Deputy CMO Kargil, Dr. Abass, District Immunization Officer (DIO), Dr. Jaleel, District Program Manager (DPM), Isak, Sarpanches, Panches, PRI members, and medical students.
While speaking on the occasion, EC Mohsin stressed on the PRI members to aware the public about the various health programs of the government.
The EC also stressed on Sarpanches, Panches to take benefits of funds being provided by the Govt. of India and UT Administration through many welfare schemes.
He also instructed CMO Kargil to aware people about various health programs through PRI members in different blocks across the district.
CMO Kargil briefed participants about various programs like National Digital Health Mission (NDHM), Ayushman PMJAY etc. and appealed them to take maximum benefits of the schemes and aware people of their respective areas about the health programs.
The Medical Superintendent said in Kargil, people are not using the health ID as per the expectations, although it is secure and beneficial for the people.
Earlier, the Deputy CMO Dr. Abass presented the welcome speech and gave a detailed presentation on the National Iron Plus Initiative (NIPI) to combat anaemia.
He also said that people should cooperate for administering the booster doses of Covid-19 and also stressed on the participants to aware the people about the same.
The District Immunization Officer said the coverage of routine immunization is good in the district. He also gave a presentation on school health like physical and mental health, avoiding drug abuse, sanitation, personal hygiene etc.
The District Program Manager said that for the cancer and terminally ill patients, the people should take benefits from the government schemes.
