JK Northern Public School Hosts Spectacular Inter-House Poem Recitation Contest in Multiple Languages

Kargil, 29th May 2023: JK Northern Public School proudly organized an enthralling Inter-House Poem Recitation Contest at the school premises today, witnessed a remarkable display of poetic prowess in Hindi, Urdu, and English languages. The competition, hosted by Sir Lobsang, showcased the exceptional talent of the students, while a panel of esteemed judges, including the Principal, Barrian Bhattacharya, and the Headmaster of the Higher Wing, evaluated the performances.

The contest commenced with participants from various houses competing in each language category. The students’ proficiency in pronunciation, memory, fluency, and confidence were assessed, leading to an intense and captivating display of poetic expressions.

In the Hindi category, Roohi Jaan from Gandhi House, Class 10th, delivered a mesmerizing performance, earning her a well-deserved victory with an impressive score of 75/80.

The English category witnessed a remarkable performance by Cho Cho Farzana from Kalpana House, Class 7th A, who showcased her impeccable recitation skills, securing the first position with a remarkable score of 70/80.

The Urdu category resulted in a tie between two exceptional students. Farida Batool from Kalpana House, Class 10th, and Farzana Batool from APJ Abdul Kalam House, Class 10th, both delivered captivating renditions, earning them equal scores of 71/80.

At the conclusion of the contest, the winners from each language section were honored with prizes presented by the Principal. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and applause as the victorious students received their well-deserved recognition.

The Principal, Barrian Bhattacharya, and the Headmaster of the Higher Wing shared their thoughts on the contest and expressed their admiration for the students’ talent, dedication, and hard work. They commended the participants for their exceptional performances and emphasized the importance of such events in nurturing and showcasing the creative abilities of the students.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Sir Lobsang, expressing gratitude to all participants, judges, staff, and the entire school community for their invaluable contributions to the success of the Inter-House Poem Recitation Contest.
