Leh, December 26, 2025: The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, visited Gurdwara Pathar Sahib on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas to pay homage to the unparalleled courage and supreme sacrifice of Sahibzada Baba Zorawar Singh Ji, Sahibzada Baba Fateh Singh Ji, and Mata Gujri Ji.
The Lt Governor bowed in reverence to the extraordinary bravery, unwavering faith, and martyrdom of the revered Sahibzadas, the sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, whose sacrifices remain an eternal symbol of courage, righteousness, and devotion to dharma.
Shri Kavinder Gupta emphasized that Veer Bal Diwas is not merely a commemorative date, but a powerful reminder of the bravery displayed by the Sahibzadas, who—despite their tender age—chose martyrdom over surrendering their faith, a sacrifice he described as unparalleled in world history.
He highlighted that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the nation now observes Veer Bal Diwas annually on December 26, ensuring that the inspiring legacy of the Sahibzadas and Mata Gujri Ji holds a rightful place in the national consciousness.
Urging the youth to draw inspiration from their supreme sacrifice, the Lt Governor appealed to them to uphold values of courage, truth, righteousness, integrity, and selfless service. He said their faith and valor should guide young Indians to contribute positively to society while remaining rooted in India’s rich cultural and moral heritage.
The Lt Governor further stated that the nation will always remain indebted to the indomitable spirit of these revered martyrs, whose supreme sacrifice conveys a timeless message of resilience, moral strength, and the enduring spirit of India.
