Market checking held at Padum Zanskar

Kargil, May 09, 2023:

A team of Government Officers and Officials headed by Naib Tehsildar Zanskar, Ibrahim Khan today conducted a market checking in main market Padum and its adjoining areas.

During the checking various general stores, restaurants, Dabas, vegetable sellers and chicken sellers were checked. The team sized 1 quintal rotten chicken, 1 and half quintals of rotten vegetables, around 30 kg of rotten fruits and expired grocery items from general stores.

An amount of Rs 8000 was collected as fine from the defaulters. The market checking team also imposed fine to the restaurants and Dabas owners who were using domestic cylinders. They were instructed to keep their restaurants neat and clean. In the end, the team disposed of the sized food items and chickens.

The team comprised Block Medical Officer, officials of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) and Animal Husbandry Department and Police.
