Leh, Aug 23: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, no new positive sample reports of Covid-19 were received yesterday. While a total of 1637 sample reports in UT Ladakh – Leh: 921 and Kargil: 716 were found negative.

No death from Covid-19 was reported in UT Ladakh yesterday.

The bulletin further details that UT Ladakh has discharged seven patients yesterday and all were discharged from Leh. With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has come down to 61; 55 in Leh and six in Kargil district.

The bulletin further informs that 1444 passengers were screened at KBR Airport Leh yesterday. While 139 and 299 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, and light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltse and Upshi check posts.
