Office Vehicle handed over to 1st Ladakh BN NCC Leh by Secy Youth Services and Sports

Leh, April 13: Administrative Secretary, Youth Services and Sports Department, UT Ladakh, Ravinder Kumar, has handed over one office vehicle to 1st Ladakh BN NCC, Leh in presence of officials of District Youth Services and Sports Department, Leh and 1st Ladakh BN NCC, Leh.

Moreover, approximately 10 Kanal of land has been allotted to the BN for construction of the NCC Training Centre at Phyang besides allotment of additional 25 Kanal which is in the process.

An Office Complex of approximately Rs. 17 Crore has been sanctioned in favour of 1st Ladakh BN NCC for construction of Office Complex.

The NCC Battalion has current strength of 3120 Cadets of which 1500 numbers are boys and 1620 numbers are girls from various Schools and Colleges of UT Ladakh. This strength has been doubled in last one year to improve strength of 2nd line of Defence in Ladakh region.

Further, the Administrative Secretary ensured that all necessary assistance shall be provided to the NCC unit so that the ANOs/CTs and Cadets of Ladakh Region can outshine in all the areas and portray the potential of the Youths of UT Ladakh.
