Panikhar, December 15, 2025:
The Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA) programme was successfully conducted at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Panikhar with the aim of strengthening maternal healthcare services and ensuring safe pregnancy outcomes. The programme was organised under the overall supervision of Dr. Ghulam Hussain, Block Medical Officer (BMO), Taisuru.
As part of the initiative, Dr. Rubiya Banoo, Consultant Gynaecologist from CHC Sanoo, provided specialised antenatal care services to pregnant women. Comprehensive antenatal check-ups were carried out, which included detailed clinical examinations, risk assessment, and personalised counselling.
During the programme, expectant mothers were guided on key aspects such as proper nutrition, the importance of institutional delivery, and identification of danger signs during pregnancy. Special emphasis was laid on creating awareness to ensure timely medical intervention and safe motherhood.
A total of 26 pregnant women attended the PMSMA programme and benefited from free, assured, and quality antenatal healthcare services.
All sections and staff members of PHC Panikhar actively participated in the programme and extended full cooperation, ensuring its smooth and successful conduct.
The successful organisation of the PMSMA programme at PHC Panikhar reflects the unwavering commitment of the Health Department towards strengthening maternal health services at the grassroots level and improving the overall well-being of mothers and children.
