SDM Zanskar chairs meeting to make adequate arrangements for Hon’ble LG’s visit to Zanskar

Kargil, July 09, 2023: Ahead of the visit of the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd) to Zanskar on 23 July 2023, the Sub Divisional Magistrate of Zanskar, Sonam Dorjay on Saturday convened a meeting to review the preparatory arrangements.

Vice President, Zanskar Buddhist Association, President, Anjuman Moin-Ul- Islam Zanskar, Head Lama of Stongday Monastery, Committee Members and all the Sub Divisional Officers, Block Level Officers of the Sub Division attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the SDM directed to form a reception committee to be headed by SDAO Zanskar, Tsering Norbu.

The committee will manage the reception process during HLG’s tour. The SDM deputed Block Development Officer, Zanskar as the Liaison Officer to HLG for his visit to Zanskar.

He also instructed all the Sub Divisional Officers and representatives of Stongday Monastery to coordinate with the Liaison Officer for HLG’s visit. In the end, the SDM directed all the Sub Divisional Officers to work in close coordination with the Liaison Officer for the smooth conduct of HLG’s visit to Zanskar.
