SDM Zanskar convenes meeting regarding stray dog menace

Kargil, March 27, 2023:

Sub Divisional Magistrate, Zanskar, Sonam Dorjay today convened a meeting at Tourist Dagbanglow Padum regarding solution for stray dogs in the Subdivision.

The meeting was attended by President Zanskar Buddhist Association, Zanskar Gonpa Association, Zanskar Buddhist Youth wing, President Nambardar Association Zanskar, Zanskar Ama Tsogpa and Lambardars from various villages of Zanskar.

After a threadbare discussion, it was finalized that the Livestock Development Officer (LDO) Zanskar will ensure vaccination of all the stray/pet in the sub-division.

The SDM appealed the volunteers of various religious organizations and NGOs to help the Animal Husbandry Department to identify stray/pet animals for vaccination and sterilization.

During the meeting, the Live Stock Development Officer Zanskar assured that the department will start the vaccination process tomorrow onward.
