Secy Sports and DC felicitates marathon runners from Ladakh
Leh, April 2: Secretary, Youth Services and Sports, Ravinder Kumar, in presence of Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Leh felicitated the marathon runners who has brought laurels for UT Ladakh by winning positions in the recently concluded national marathon held in New Delhi. Tashi Dolma secured 1st place in the 21km elite half marathon with timing of 1 hr 27 minutes and Diskit Dolma secured 3rd position in elite full marathon with timing of 3 hr 22 minutes and 06 seconds to complete 46km.
The Secretary also appreciated the efforts of Nawang Tsering and Stanzin Wangchuk and also congratulated the manager/coach, Stobgais for his dedication and hard work.The Secretary has assured best possible support from the department of Youth Services and Sports for all the athletes and asked all the athletes to continue with the same dedication, hard work and enthusiasm.
At last, the marathon runners submitted their memorandum to address some issues and thanked the Secretary and Deputy Commissioner for their support on every occasion.
