SVEEP Awareness Programme for SSR of Photo Electoral Roll held at GHSS Chiktan
KARGIL, OCTOBER 21, 2021: A SVEEP Awareness Programme for Special Summary Revision (SSR) of Photo Electoral Roll with regard to 01-01-2022 was organized by the District SVEEP Team Kargil at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Chiktan here today.
Tehsildar/AERO Shakar Chiktan Kacho Asgar Ali Khan was the chief guest on the occasion.
Young prospective voters/students of HSS Chiktan were the main participants, besides religious and political representatives, Panchs, BLOs, Supervisors and AWWs attended the awareness programme.
Tehsildar/AERO Shakar Chiktan Kacho Asgar Ali Khan in his address while giving details regarding SSR urged the participants to disseminate the information to others. He also stressed all for participating in the SSR process, and further appreciated the District SVEEP Team for organizing such fruitful awareness program in Shakar Chiktan area.
Earlier, District Nodal Officer SVEEP Ghulam Rasool Lal delivered the welcome address which was followed by a speech by Stanzin Dorjey, Lecturer Political Science who briefed about the importance of elections in democracy.
Abdul Hamid BLO Chortenchan also gave detailed information about registering in the coming SSR and other important aspects.
Anwar Hussain Core Member SVEEP provided necessary information on ELCs and importance of ELCs in schools to the students.
Refreshments were also served among the students and participants by the members of the District SVEEP Team.
