SVEEP training program for Special Summary Revision held in Kargil

Kargil, October 20, 2022:

District Election Officer/District Magistrate Kargil today organized a training program for BLOs on Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) for Special Summary Revision (SSR) of Photo Electoral Rolls at Conference Hall, Baroo.

The program was inaugurated by Deputy District Election Officer, Nargis Banoo, who was the chief guest on the occasion. She stressed on Booth Level Officers (BLO) to actively participate in the training program.

While referring to BLOs, the DDEO instructed them to take their responsibilities and stressed on teamwork in order to make the electoral draft roll error-free and successful.

While talking about the importance of the training program, she said that BLOs are working at the grass root level of democracy. The training program was aimed to train the BLOs.

Trainers from the Election IT Cell gave a detailed presentation about the SSR. In the day-long training program, which was divided into two sessions, the BLOs of tehsil Kargil, Sankoo, Drass, Shakar Chiktan, Shargole and Taisuru participated.

As part of the program, the trainers shared their knowledge and experience regarding SSR with the participants and gave practical training to them.

Trainers gave them full details about the electoral rolls like types of electoral roll, draft roll and final roll. They also informed the participants that they have to work in a limited time. Trainers gave satisfactory answers to questions and queries raised by the participants.
