Tehsil Office, ICDS Project Shargole Celebrate “Good Governance Week – Prashan Gaon Ki Ore”

Shargole, December 23, 2025:

Under the esteemed directives of the District Commissioner, Kargil, the Tehsil Office Shargole, in collaboration with ICDS Project Shargole, successfully observed “Good Governance Week – Prashan Gaon Ki Ore” at the Community Hall, Darket, highlighting the government’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and citizen-centric governance.

The event was formally chaired by Naib Tehsildar Shargole, Mr. Mohammad Ali, accompanied by his dedicated team of Patwaris and ministerial staff. Also present on the occasion were CDPO Shargole, Ms. Farida Banoo, along with the entire ICDS team and the Numberdar of Darket village, symbolizing strong institutional coordination and community partnership.

The hall witnessed enthusiastic participation from villagers including men, women, adolescent girls, children, and ICDS beneficiaries. Their active involvement reflected the community’s eagerness to engage with government initiatives and improve access to welfare services at the grassroots level.

In her address, CDPO Farida Banoo extended heartfelt gratitude to the Tehsil Office for leading the initiative. She also provided a comprehensive overview of key ICDS schemes benefiting the community, including:

Supplementary Nutrition Programme (SNP) to ensure nutritional security for pregnant and lactating women, mothers, and children. Pre-School Education, laying a strong foundation for early childhood learning and development. Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) offering financial assistance for maternal care and childbirth. Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) aimed at empowering girls through education, awareness, and protection.

She urged all eligible families to avail the benefits of these schemes without delay and encouraged community cooperation to ensure efficient and timely delivery of services.

Addressing the gathering, Naib Tehsildar Mohammad Ali delivered an inspiring speech, thanking participants for their presence and support. He emphasized the spirit of “Prashan Gaon Ki Ore,” aimed at bringing governance closer to the people, strengthening trust between the administration and citizens, and ensuring that welfare initiatives reach every household.

The celebration marked yet another milestone in strengthening community engagement and reaffirming the government’s dedication to good governance and public welfare in Shargole.
