The 76th Independence Day of India was celebrated with enthusiasm and fervour in the University of Ladakh Leh campus.

Leh, August 15: The 76th Independence Day of India was celebrated with enthusiasm and fervour in the University of Ladakh Leh campus.

Vice Chancellor, Prof. S.K Mehta unfurled the tri color which was followed by recitation of national anthem. He pays glorious tributes to our freedom fighters.

The teaching, non teaching and administrative staff were present.

Vice Chancellor highlighted various achievements by University of Ladakh.He said that University of Ladakh conducted a number of conferences, workshops and symposiums during last one year.

Also, informed that a number of MOU’s were signed by Ladakh University with other universities’ particularly recent one with University of Gujrat and National Forensic University.

A number of lecture series were initiated by University of Ladakh particularly by expert natives in their respected fields.

Vice Chancellor stressed on the conduct of research in various fields by young faculty and to involve students in it.

At last, he congratulated and thanked all the members of University of Ladakh on 76th Independence Day.
