Training session held for counting staff in kargil Full proof arrangements in place for counting 

 

Kargil, 07-OCT-2023:

To ensure smooth conduct of counting of votes on October 08, the Election Authority/Deputy Commissioner/CEO LAHDC kargil, Shrikant Suse today supervised a training session for the counting staff for the 5th general LAHDC kargil elections, which was held at Conference Hall Kargil.

 

District Election Officer/ADC Kargil Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Wani, Deputy District Election Officer were present on the occasion.

 

Counting Supervisors, Returning Officers, Assistant Returning Officers and Counting Assistants were imparted the training regarding rules and procedures governing counting.

 

DC Shrikant Suse said elaborate arrangements had been made for the smooth conduct of counting. Further He directed for strict adherence to guidelines, instructing the counting staff to strictly follow the rules during the counting process.

 

DC Kargil instructed the SDM’s, Tehsildars and Naib-Tehsildars to keep close watch on law and order within their respective areas.

 

Pertinently the master trainer EVMs imparted training to counting staff about handling of EVM machines during the entire procedure, besides counting of postal ballot paper votes. Moreover dry run for ballot paper counting was also held, besides providing hands-on training on encore counting module was done.

 

Further training about handling of EVM machines, reporting of round-wise results was also given to entire staff, besides

the master trainer addressed the doubts and queries raised by the participants during the session.

 

Election Authority appeals to all candidates/their agents to strictly adhere to rules during counting and cooperate administration & police to ensure smooth counting process as well as law & order.
