Two day awareness cum information program for senior citizens concluded in Leh

Leh, Feb 21: The two-day awareness cum information program for senior citizens of Ladakh organised by Elderline-Ladakh in coordination with the Department of Social and Tribal Welfare (UT Ladakh), Department of Health, UIDAI, and J&K Bank concluded on Feb 21.

Executive Director, SIDCO, Ladakh & Joint Director, Handloom and Handicraft Department, Lakshay Singhal inspected the stall on the closing day and directed to extend the days of the program. He further directed to organise the camp at various blocks and subdivision levels and assured to extend full support.

During the program, a total of 214 senior citizens availed various services, out of which 60 issues related to aadhaar cards and 19 issues of old age pension were resolved. A total of 25 senior citizens enrolled for the golden card (Ayushman Bharat). Similarly, a total of 110 senior citizens were sensitized about the Elderline services.

Further, the senior citizens were sensitized about the Health care-related schemes and J&K bank schemes.
