World Oral Health Day Celebrated At Sankoo,Kargil

Kargil,  20 March 2023:-

_On the occasion of “ World Oral Health Day” Dr Ashiq Hussain Goba Dental Surgeon CHC Sankoo and his Team Celebrated “World Oral Health Day “ at Noon Public High School Sankoo_ .

The Day was celebrated under the theme of this year is “Be Proud of Your Mouth”.

Lookafter the oral health for the happiness and well-being & to raise awareness of oral health and prevent any form of oral diseases.

This Programme was organised by District Health Society In collaboration with Block Medical officer Sankoo.

On this occasion Dr Ashiq Hussain Goba Dental Surgeon, Abdul Hadi ame Sajjad Hussain Khushi Dental Assistant’s, Principal Madam Fatima Nissa, Teaching staff’s and a large numbers of students were also present.

Dr. Ashiq Hussain Goba Dental Surgeon CHC Sankoo said,that World Oral Health Day is observed annually on March 20 to raise global awareness of the issues around Oral Health and the importance of Oral hygiene.

He said that a “Healthy mouth leads to a healthy body” further he explained the impact of oral health on overall health & the role of a balanced diet in maintaining a good health & hygiene.

During the program,oral health care awareness & screening was done for the children where they were taught about the brushing techniques & other oral hygiene instructions .

He also summarises the harmful effects of tobacco on oral health & overall health.

The students enthusiastically participated in the event by getting answers to their queries from Dental doctors.

Dental screening of the students were also conducted.
