Zonal Level Science Seminar held at Sankoo

GHS Saliskote got 1st position

KARGIL,5 September: The School Education Department Kargil on Monday Conducted a zonal Level science seminar at Govt Girls High School Sankoo.

The theme of the Seminar was “Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development: Challenges & Prospects”held at zonal level in district Kargil organised by National Council Of Science Museum (Ministry Of Culture, Govt. of India).

On the occasion Councillor Sankoo Aga Syed Ahmad Rizvi presided over the function as chief guest while as Deputy CEO as guest of honour.

All the government schools from Sankoo Zone participated in the event.

Assistant professors at Sankoo Campus of Govt Degree College Kargil, Dr Abid Hussain, Nasir Khafi and Manzoor Ahmad Bhat performed their duty as jury.

The students from various participating schools presented a PowerPoint presentation on Sustainable Development, sustainable use of resources, resource conservation, local resources of Ladakh and other related topics. The students also interacted with the judges and answered their queries.

Students also presented various models for sustainable environment, sustainable economy and overall sustainable development.

Later, after proper assessment High school Saliskote secured 1st position, Govt Higher Secondary school Lankechey 2nd position and Government Higher Secondary school Trespone secured 3rd position.

Further, the three postion holders from all zones will be participating on district level science seminar.
